My Choice of Top Ten Blogs

Every year the bloggers around the world want to know where did they stand in the blog-liking-ranking and why they were not included in the ranking. Well a friend (SAJS) asked me for my choice of top ten blogs that I liked. For a novice like me in the blogging field, this was a tall order, but I laid down criteria to select the 10 blogs that I liked based on the following:

  • Regular updation
  • Quality of substance and its relevance
  • Originality of ideas
  • Award winning blogs
  • And finally of course its page ranking
When I sat to find the best blogs, I found that some blogs that I considered were good, hadn’t been regularly updated and had no page ranking at all. And to my surprise, some of the best blogs as per my liking could go beyond 6 in the Google page ranking. The blogs that I liked generally ranked between four to six.

Here is then my top 10 Pakistani blogs based on my above criteria, with the only exception of JahoJalal, (which is my own blog), that has a ranking of 3. I included it for the reason that it attained this ranking just within its first three months of hosting.

  1. All Things Pakistan(6) http://pakistaniat.com
  2. Chapati Mystry (6) http://www.chapatimystery.com/
  3. Pak Tea House (5) http://pakteahouse.wordpress.com/
  4. Chup! Changing up Pakistan (5) http://changinguppakistan.wordpress.com/
  5. Five Rupees (5) http://fiverupees.blogspot.com/
  6. Logic is Variable (4) http://logicisvariable.blogspot.com/
  7. Teeth Maestro (4) http://teeth.com.pk
  8. Doodh Patti (4) http://doodhpatti.blogspot.com/
  9. Café Pyala (4) http://cafepyala.blogspot.com/
  10. Jahojalal (3) http://jahojalal.blogspot.com/

Please note that the 10 blogs listed above are as per my ranking. There would be lot many other good blogs of page ranking 4-6 or even more, but this is all that I could dig. May be for you some may never figure out. But I am certain sure that while choosing best Pakistani blogs, at least 5-6 listed above would certainly be every ones’ choice. One final word, while talking of Pakistan Bloggers, we must not forget the forum Pak Positive (Pakistani Bloggers), that provides a platform to share Pakistani bloggers’ voice under its umbrella.
